I’m not telling anybody to apologize for anything. I said I think the phrases are unnecessary and said why. What I never did, was tell people to stop using it.

Secondly, this isn’t about whether people are using the language based on their comfort it’s, as already stated, about how and when those terms get used and the type of people that use them. You only get to be carefree and unapologetic if you fit into a limited space created by people who just found out they were black two weeks ago. Those aren’t the people who should be in charge of the “membership.”
